The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme sassa status check [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to sassa status attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
